VP of Contact Centre Engineering

We’re seeking a talented and experienced VP of Engineering and leading a team of engineers to develop our exciting new platform. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading software development teams, ideally SaaS products and enterprise BTB.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the engineering team
  • Know how to recruit and develop top engineering talent
  • Develop standards and procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
  • Maintain and optimise budgets to meet goals
  • Understand and collaborate on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution
  • Recommends new technology and ideas to improve sprints and efficiency

Who you are:

Qualifications / Skills:

  • You will have previously worked at Head of Engineering / VP / Director / CTO level, preferably in a role that delivered mission critical SaaS software
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to easily switch between managing stakeholder expectations and motivating your team
  • A track record of leading and scaling effective technology teams with a diverse range of technical roles
  • Great aptitude for developing tech and product strategies in line with the commercial strategy of the business.
  • A background in recruiting, retaining, and leading best in class technical teams.
  • Experience working in a start-up or a fast-growth environment
  • Experience working with complex technical architecture of scalable platforms

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping to shape the product strategy with input from the wider business, while setting and executing on the delivery strategy of the platform.
  • Own the product roadmap, while working closely with the other executives to shape the technical vision of our platform and effectively communicate this to your teams.
  • Lead and grow the technical team as a whole, ensuring all parts work effectively together as they grow.
  • Coach and mentor your team to improve management skills and deliver better quality products faster.
  • Help remove obstacles to productivity and help the technical team make meaningful, deliverable commitments.
  • Create close working relationships with other key executives at the company (People, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, etc) .
  • Develop, track and control the budgets for technology teams.
  • Play a key role in managing effective communication with our investors and advisors from a technical delivery and roadmap perspective.
